We Believe

Vision

To bring all Christians closer to God through developing a biblical worldview that includes an understanding of how a holistic use of the resources He has given us are commanded to be used for building His Kingdom.

Why We Are Here

Our purpose is to bring glory to the One who created us. When we’re operating the way He designed us to, we can’t help but enjoy the life that God has given us on this earth.

Jubilee a season of celebration. (Merriam-Webster, 2019)

He has provided an outline of how that life should look. Taking us on a journey through time not just explaining but telling stories both historical and in parables so that we may understand who He is and how we are to interact with Him.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. (Deuteronomy 6:5, NIV)

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:30-31, NIV)

What We Believe

TIME

We are to rest in Christ’s presence.

There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience. (Hebrews 4:9-11, NIV)

We will be held accountable for how we use our time on this earth.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: (Ecclesiastes 3: 1,NIV)

Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. (James 4:14, NIV)

treasure chest, representing treasure

TREASURE

God is our provider.

The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you reside in my land as foreigners and strangers.(Leviticus 25:23, NIV)

When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and for the foreigner residing among you. I am the Lord your God. (Leviticus 23:22, NIV)

So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’. For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:21-34, NIV)

Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income. This too is meaningless. (Ecclesiastes 5:10,NIV)

TALENT

We are part of something bigger than ourselves. We have an obligation to fulfill God’s plan for us.

Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. (1 Corinthians 12:27, NIV)

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. (1 Peter 4:10, NIV)

GIFTS

It is better to give than to receive.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, (Ephesians 2:8, ESV)

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. (James 1:17, ESV)

PROPERTY

We are managers of God’s property. We do not own anything.

“But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand. (1 Chronicles 29:14, NIV)

For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. (Hebrews 3:4, NIV)

“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.” (Exodus 20:17, NIV)

dad, mom, and kids

FAMILY

We are responsible to our families.

That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.  (Genesis 2:24, NIV)

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”  (Joshua 24:15, NIV)

(If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) (1 Timothy 3:5, NIV)

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.

Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.

Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.  They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court. (Psalm 127:3-5, NIV)

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4, NIV)

Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. (1 Timothy 5:8, NIV)

group of friends

FRIENDS

It is important to have good friends.

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24,NIV)

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17, NIV)

Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”(1 Corinthians 15:33, NIV)

CULTURE

We are to be generous servants, sent into the world, living out the golden rule in everything we do.

…but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. (Mark 4:19, NIV)

Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. (Luke 21:34, NIV)

martini glass of things, representing society

SOCIETY

We are to affect this world, not conform to it.

If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. (John 15:19, NIV)

You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. (James 4:4, NIV)

government building

GOVERNMENT

We are to submit to lawful authority.

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established.  The authorities that exist have been established God. (Romans 13:1, NIV)

Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor. (1 Peter 2:13-17, ESV)

  1. Mom says:

I can’t think of anything on earth more satisfying than watching my children work together, grow in knowledge, and share their experiences with others to help build and strengthen our heavenly family. What will we accomplish if we learn to live and serve in the center of God’s will allowing His Spirit to guide and empower us!!

We'd like to hear from you
