What Is the Jubilee Effect?

log
This is Hebrew Alef and Tav (script form), the first and last letters in the Hebrew alefbet. You may be more familiar with the Greek term: the Alpha and the Omega.

The Jubilee Effect is that exquisite moment of clarity and beauty that happens when we’re in the sweet spot that is God’s Kingdom.

You’ve been there, right?  It’s usually really intense. It comes in a flash and then slips through your fingers almost immediately. The incredible reality and fullness of it is too much for these frail vessels of clay to contain.  And, even though you can’t hang on to it for long, you never forget the moment happened.  Once you’ve been there, you never quit longing to go back.

The thing is, we can choose which kingdom we operate in.  Just because we can’t sense the Kingdom of God all the time doesn’t mean we’re not actually there.  Yeah, it’s fun when we can sense it, but it’s not necessary.  So the question is, which kingdom is your normal?  Do you even know?

What does your everyday life look like?  Are you operating as God said, or do you operate under society’s idea of what’s normal and good?

Are you living the life of power, abundance, meaning, peace, and freedom God said He created you for, or are you enslaved to the norms and expectations of current culture?

Let’s explore these questions together.  Let’s carry each other’s burdens.  Let’s share advice, resources, prayers, hardships, and ideas.  We’ll challenge ourselves and others to take a hard look at how we live life and how we think about things.  We’ll challenge each other to make the changes we need to make in order to live the life God planned for us. And then we’ll see where God takes us.
